Key Environmental Initiatives

Energy and Water Conservation

Commitment: DCS TELECOM is dedicated to reducing carbon dioxide emissions by achieving greater efficiency in total energy consumption at our headquarters and exploring opportunities to acquire electricity from renewable “green” sources as finances permit.

Implementation Measures:

  • Climate Control: On-site air conditioning is used only when ambient temperature exceeds 25°C (77°F), with thermostats set no lower than 25°C
  • Natural Lighting: Maximize use of natural light; all artificial lighting utilizes energy-efficient LED bulbs
  • Equipment Management: Computers and equipment are shut down completely when not in use to eliminate standby power consumption
  • Water Conservation: Water usage follows guidelines established by the Federal Government of the United States (https://www.fedcenter.gov/programs/water/)

Waste Generation and Management

Commitment: DCS TELECOM endeavors to minimize waste production and pollution by eliminating unnecessary packaging, reducing material usage, and implementing comprehensive recycling programs. We are dedicated to promoting waste reduction practices throughout the telecommunications industry.

Implementation Measures:

  • Recycling Infrastructure: Municipal marked recycling waste containers are used at all company sites
  • Paperless Operations: Electronic communication, invoices, documents, and manuals are utilized wherever possible; when printing is necessary, double-sided printing is standard
  • Material Reuse: Packaging materials from vendors are repurposed and reused whenever possible
  • Kitchen Waste Reduction: Reusable dishes and cutlery are provided; single-use plastics and excessive packaging are discouraged
  • Green Packaging: Preference for environmentally friendly packaging options when available

Materials and Resources

Commitment: DCS TELECOM is dedicated to protecting and enhancing natural habitats and wildlife, taking appropriate opportunities to support biodiversity and demonstrating sensitivity to landscape and ecological issues.

Implementation Measures:

  • Ethical Sourcing: Wherever possible and permitted, we source and produce products without cruelty to animals
